I-55 West Frontage Road, Shorewood

This $2.5M project in Will County will improve the West Frontage Road on I-55 from I-80 to Seil Road in Shorewood.  This project will relocate the existing frontage road to the west and make way for the coming reconstruction of the I-55 & Rt. 59 Interchange.
I-55 Third Lane Construction, Joliet/Shorewood

In June of 2007 P.T. Ferro Construction, as a part of a three way joint venture with D Construction of Coal City and Gallagher Asphalt Corp. of Thorton, won four projects on Interstate 55 in Will County.  The four jobs, totaling over $77,000,000, will add a third lane to north bound and south bound I-55 from Weber Rd. in Romeoville to I-80 in Joliet.   Construction began after Labor Day 2007. After a winter shut down, work will start again on March 3, 2008 and is expected to be complete on or before October 31, 2008.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Please watch your speed and watch for signs. Lanes will be shifted right. There will also be shoulder closures. Two lanes will be open to traffic.
151st Street & Archer Avenue, Lockport

This $2.9M project in Will County includes the complete reconstruciton of 151st Street from Archer Avenue easterly for 0.72 mile and 0.30 mile of widening and resurfacing on Archer Avenue north and south of 151st Street. Also includes drainage, curb & gutter and traffic signal installation. Traffic will be detoured to 143rd Street to the North and Rte 7 to the South.  Completion is slated for late 2009.
Caton Farm Road & I-55 West Frontage Road, Joliet

This $680K project includes installation of a new Traffic Signal and Turn Lanes at the intersection of 171st Street & Oak Park Avenue.  This project will be built in 3 Stages: Stage 1 will include the reconstruction of the North West and South East Quadrants. Stage 2 will include the reconstruction of the North East Quadrant, and Stage 3 will include the installation of the new traffic signal and final Pavement Resurfacing.  Work is expected to be completed on or before August 1, 2008.

Ferro has begun installation of equipment for AT&T's Project Lightspeed, which is an initiative to bring Cable Television service to the Chicagoland area.   P.T.
